COVID-19 / High Importance


Based on guidelines from Ringette Canada and Ringette Ontario, the Barrie and District Ringette Association developed a COVID Safety Team and Plan.

City of Barrie and Town of Innisfil will completed COVID screening and vaccine checks at the doors.


Barrie (Allandale, Eastview)

Fill out once for player and all spectators. You will receive an email confirmation you show at the door.


Innisfil (Stroud, Innisfil Recreation Centre)


Fill out one per person. SEPARATE forms for EACH player and spectator. You will NOT get a confirmation email. Innisfil will cross check your name with their lists at the door.



As per below proof of identity (driver’s license, passport, health card etc) and proof of vaccine (digital or printed) must be shown at the door to facility staff.


All coaches, officials, bench staff and volunteers must be fully vaccinated.
- All players 18+ must be fully vaccinated.
- All spectators 12 + must be fully vaccinated.
Effective DECEMBER 8, 2021 all players 12 and up must provide proof of having at least ONE dose of Health Canada approved vaccine.
Effective FEBRUARY 16, 2022 all players 12 and up must provide proof of being fully vaccinated
Effective JANUARY 1, 2022 all children will have a grace period of 12 weeks from their 12thbirthday during which they provide proof of age/identity at entry but do not need to provide proof of full vaccination. This is to allow a reasonable amount of time for vaccination to be completed.

o Please note that programming could change, based on Ringette Ontario, City of Barrie, Town of Innisfil and SMDHU guidance.


o Registered players and families will be informed of any changes as soon as the BDRA is aware.


o Extra PPE has been purchased for this season. It includes: hand sanitizer, gloves, masks for coaches/trainers or injured players, eye protection and disinfectant.


o There are no time limits on arena entry in Barrie. In Innisfil entry is permitted ½ hour before practices and 40 minutes before games.


o Spectators are permitted with no capacity limits. Spectators must be masked at all times.


o Change rooms are now open and at regular capacity. Masking is required in change rooms and recommended until players don their helmets right before ice time. LIMIT UNMASKED TIME!


o Indoor warm ups are not permitted.


o It is the family/player responsibility to ensure truthful declarations and honesty around health status. There are no exceptions this year for illness.


o COVID safety needs to be notified if players are ill or missing due ringette to close contact exposures/closed classrooms.
